The Burchiello

There is an ancient and fascinating way of reaching Venice: not by land, but by following the water, as the nobles of the Serenissima did. It is Burchiello's journey.

On board the motor ship Il Burchiello you will set sail from Padua along the Brenta Canal, retracing the ancient river route of the Venetian Burchielli: nine swing bridges and five locks will mark the navigation, in a slow and surprising succession of views.

Along the banks there are quiet villages and splendid Venetian villas, witnesses of the ancient splendor of the Republic of Venice. Until you arrive in the lagoon, where Venice awaits you.

An extraordinary journey through nature, art and culture to the rhythm of water.
